Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on the 14th of March 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. At the 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in a single Games and she was the first gymnast to earn three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles was raised within Spring Texas, in the Houston metropolitan area. She and her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone was first drawn to gymnastics when she was just six. The coach Aimee Borman took her to Bannon's Gymnastix which was where they went on an excursion. Biles was awarded a gold medal in the floor and bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the elite competition in 2011. A year later, Biles dominated the sport. Biles was distinguished by her consistency in performance, vivacious personality as well as the difficulty she encountered across the four events she competed in: vault, uneven bars and balance beam.
