Kari Wuhrer was born on the 28th of April, 1967. She is an American musician and actor. She started her acting career when she was when she was in her teens. Her best-known character was for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as playing the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. Her siblings include three. As a child, Wuhrer sang at nightclubs and slipped out to perform. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School, at the age of 13, she studied drama in the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. She was born a Brookfield local born in Brookfield Connecticut, on 28th April 1967. Her father is an German American policeman as well as an auto salesman. Kari is one of the three youngest children. As a teenager was a nightclub singer, she would sing as she slipped out to do a show. Kari was only 13 when she began her acting lessons at Wooster School. In the following years, Kari enrolled at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College. Kari began her journey into acting at the age of 13 years old, and received her breakthrough in 1987, when she was featured on MTV Remote Control.
