Carol Lynley

Lynley was the daughter of an Irish father and mother of a New England mother. After starting her career as an actor, she later became an infant model. She was awarded the Theatre World Award as "one of the most promising actors in 1956-57" for her role in The Potting Shed. Lynley's film career started in the year 1958, with the Disney movie The Light in the Forest. Holiday for Lovers (1959), Blue Denim (1959) followed. In her movie The Light in the Forest Lynley received a nomination in 1959 to the Golden Globe Award. The following year she was again nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer.
